I got the computer off of facebook marketplace, but then swapped the motherboard, ram, cpu, and gpu. I plan to swap the psu, but I don't have the budget for it yet. Anyways, the old motherboard didn't come with an m.2 slot, so he had a pcie adapter for it. I ditched the adapter once I got my pc up and running, but then I decided to use it. Thing is, only one of the two pcie slots on the old pc's motherboard looked like it would work with the adapter, except there was a gpu there, and I don't have any of the super old cables that the motherboard uses. So I had the genius idea to plug it into the other pcie slot. I plugged everything in and turned on the pc. It turned on for a split second, then turned off and I couldn't get it to come back on. The ssd didn't work when I returned it to my normal computer, and when I put it back into the same slot again (I know, I know), it did the same power on for a split second and then never show signs of life again thing. Is there any way to fix this?
