While Google is helping Apple upgrade its AI, the search giant may have taken a little too much liking to the Apple Intelligence name. A new leak shared by Mysticleaks on Telegram seems to show “Gemini Intelligence” inside Google’s software running on what looks like a Pixel smartphone. For now, it is best to take the leak with a grain of salt until there is something more concrete. But if the video is accurate, Google could be preparing the feature for the Pixel 11 series, which is expected to launch around August 2026. Google can’t be serious right now…Gemini Intelligence? They’re copying Apple Intelligence, which has the worst reputation for AI? pic.twitter.com/Ha3x2VfQLf— Noah Cat (@Cartidise) May 7, 2026 Is Google really calling it Gemini Intelligence? The irony is almost too rich. Apple Intelligence is Apple’s big bet on making Siri smarter, more personal, and actually useful in the AI age. And yet Apple has signed a multi-year partnership with Google to power next-gen Siri with Gemini models. So Google may simultaneously be fueling Apple Intelligence and launching Gemini Intelligence. That is either very efficient or very silly branding. Google Google has already started expanding Gemini’s Personal Intelligence features. These allow Gemini to connect with apps like Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube, and Search to answer questions with a user’s own context. Instead of asking a generic chatbot for help, users can ask for information tied to their emails, photos, saved details, and activity across Google services. Why would Pixel 11 make sense? Pixel phones have long been Google’s test bed for AI features, including call screening and AI-powered photo editing tools. If “Gemini Intelligence” is real, Pixel 11 would be the natural place to introduce it as a deeply integrated, phone-level AI layer. We just hope that the name gets a second pass. Assuming, of course, that there’s a name to pass on at all.
aapl","goog
["aapl
It has been almost a year since Gary Lineker cut ties with the BBC and Match of the Day but the legendary football pundit has kept himself incredibly busy
aapl
["goog
Google is absolutely positively the best stock on the market right now and it isn’t even close. One year ago Google was getting torn up given reports of AI taking over search and them lagging in the AI chatbot space. Although that has all changed as now Gemini has emerged as the favorite in the space. This is due to a few key reasons: AI Laggard: Investors had highly doubted Google’s ability to build a chat model. These doubts have been quelled as the company by far has the most data to train their models given their dominance in search and video. This has propelled Gemini into a strong long term favorite. Competitors Shift: Open AI has chosen to focus more heavily on corporate clients, which has caused them to cut costs in the consumer space. Therefore Chat GPT’s quality has struggled, prompting a perfect opportunity for someone to take market share within the consumer chatbot space. Suffice to say, Google (along with Anthropic) has leaped on this opportunity. Infrastructure: Google has chosen to run and train their models on their in house built TPU’s. A risky yet bold decision given most models run on GPU’s. On one hand, Google through this does not need to rely on Nvidia or AMD to get their chips, allowing them to stay out of a lot of drama revolving GPU demand. On the other, if Google can prove TPU’s deliver lower cost per token, they will not only completely change the AI landscape but can find themselves challenging the likes of Nvidia in space. This second part remains to be unseen. Elsewhere Google still remains one of the best names in cloud, YouTube still dominates streaming, and Waymo is overtaking the FSD ride share market. Investors only concerns are their massive capital expenditure. This concern is blasphemy as AI will require large investments eventually so best they show it now. Investors are fine dumping money into AI but as soon as those companies they are pouring money into begin investing in the infrastructure needed, it becomes a problem to investors. Wall Street seems to have a hypocrisy problem when it comes to AI investment. Overall, Google has shown its ability to step to the plate in AI while maintaining consistent growth in other areas of the business. 28 years ago, Google was founded and quickly became a disruptor. Today, they enter a whole new chapter with AI and have already shown ability to be the disruptor everyone knows them to be. Today, developers can add powerful AI features to everyday applications with very little effort. In this blog, I’ll show you how to integrate Google’s powerful Gemini AI into a full-stack application using a Spring Boot backend and a React frontend. This will be a hands-on, step-by-step guide. By the end, you’ll have a custom, working AI chatbot interface communicating securely with Google’s servers. What is Google Gemini? Google Gemini is a next-generation Large Language Model (LLM) designed to understand and generate human-like text. It can answer questions, summarize text, and power intelligent chatbots. Google provides Gemini via a REST API, making it incredibly easy to integrate into backend systems like Spring Boot. Why This Architecture? (Spring Boot + React) You might wonder: Why not just call the Gemini API directly from React? Calling the AI directly from the frontend is a major security risk because it exposes your secret API key to the public. The correct and secure way to build an AI app is: React Frontend: Captures the user’s prompt and displays the UI. Spring Boot Backend: Acts as a secure proxy. It holds the secret API key, receives the prompt from React, talks to Google, and sends the answer back. Let’s dive into the code! Prerequisites Part 1: System SetUp: Before starting, ensure you have: Java 17+ and Maven installed Node.js installed for React A basic Spring Boot project and a React (Vite or CRA) project ready A Gemini API Key (You can get one for free at Google AI Studio) Google AI Studio( Gemini API Key) Part 2: Spring Boot Backend Setup: Required Dependencies (pom.xml) One of the best parts about this architecture is how lightweight it is. Because we are communicating directly with Google’s REST API using Spring’s built-in RestTemplate, we do not need to install heavy external AI libraries or wait for third-party wrappers to update when Google releases a new model. All you need is the standard Spring Boot Web starter! Ensure you have the following dependency in your pom.xml: org.springframework.boot spring-boot-starter-web (Note: If you are using Spring Security or JWT authentication in your app, you will naturally have those dependencies as well, but spring-boot-starter-web is the only requirement for the AI communication.) Part 1: Spring Boot Backend Setup 1. Configure Your API Key First, keep your API key safe by adding it to your application.properties (or application-local.properties): A Gemini API Key (You can get one for free at Google AI Studio) properties gemini.api.url=https://generativelanguage.googleapis.com/v1beta/models/gemini-2.0-flash:generateContent gemini.api.key=YOUR_ACTUAL_API_KEY_HERE 2. Create the Data Transfer Objects (DTOs) Google expects a very specific JSON structure. To handle this easily, we use Jackson and standard Java classes. Create a GeminiDTO.java file to map the request and response: java package com.yourpackage.dto; import java.util.List; public class GeminiDTO { public static class Request { public List contents; public Request() {} public Request(String text) { this.contents = List.of(new Content(new Part(text))); } } public static class Content { public List parts; public Content() {} public Content(Part part) { this.parts = List.of(part); } } public static class Part { public String text; public Part() {} public Part(String text) { this.text = text; } } public static class Response { public List candidates; public Response() {} } public static class Candidate { public Content content; public Candidate() {} } } 3. Create the AI Service We will use Spring’s RestTemplate to make the HTTP POST request to Google. Create GeminiService.java: java @Service public class GeminiService { @Value("${gemini.api.url}") private String apiUrl; @Value("${gemini.api.key}") private String apiKey; private final RestTemplate restTemplate = new RestTemplate(); public String getChatResponse(String prompt) { String urlWithKey = apiUrl + "?key=" + apiKey; GeminiDTO.Request requestBody = new GeminiDTO.Request(prompt); try { GeminiDTO.Response response = restTemplate.postForObject( urlWithKey, requestBody, GeminiDTO.Response.class ); if (response != null && response.candidates != null && !response.candidates.isEmpty()) { return response.candidates.get(0).content.parts.get(0).text; } return "I couldn't generate a response."; } catch (Exception e) { return "Error connecting to AI: " + e.getMessage(); } } } 4. Expose the REST Controller Finally, expose this service to your React frontend via a REST endpoint in GeminiController.java: java @RestController @RequestMapping("/api/ai") public class GeminiController { private final GeminiService geminiService; public GeminiController(GeminiService geminiService) { this.geminiService = geminiService; } @PostMapping("/chat") public ResponseEntity> chat(@RequestBody Map request) { String prompt = request.get("message"); String response = geminiService.getChatResponse(prompt); return ResponseEntity.ok(Map.of("response", response)); } } Part 2: React Frontend Setup Now that our backend securely handles the AI logic, we can build a sleek chat interface in React. Create an AIChat.jsx component. This component will manage the chat history and make an API call to our Spring Boot backend: javascript import React, { useState } from "react"; import "./AIChat.css"; // Add your custom styling here in the AIChat.css file const AIChat = () => { const [input, setInput] = useState(""); const [messages, setMessages] = useState([ { sender: "ai", text: "Hi! I am your AI assistant. How can I help you today?" } ]); const [loading, setLoading] = useState(false); const sendMessage = async () => { if (!input.trim()) return; const userMessage = { sender: "user", text: input }; setMessages((prev) => [...prev, userMessage]); setInput(""); setLoading(true); try { // Make sure this URL matches your Spring Boot server! // enter the correct the URL here const response = await fetch("
goog
-4295658257863484329
NHTSA says the 2026 Tesla Model Y is the first car model to pass the agency's new ADAS tests; Tesla conducted the tests and submitted the results to the NHTSA (Kirsten Korosec/TechCrunch)
["tsla
Kirsten Korosec / TechCrunch: NHTSA says the 2026 Tesla Model Y is the first car model to pass the agency's new ADAS tests; Tesla conducted the tests and submitted the results to the NHTSA — The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said Tuesday that the later release 2026 Tesla Model Y is the first vehicle …
tsla
-4639476108843583673
AI materials vs. AI companies - It seems a safer bet with AI is not to bet on AI-centric companies ...
["fb
It seems a safer bet with AI is not to bet on AI-centric companies like AMZN, GOOG, META, ORCL, etc but on the materials for AI hyper scaling centers. For fifteen years, Apple set the pace of the silicon industry. Every September, Apple’s A-series chip announcement told the rest of the foundry world what node was viable, what process was production-grade, what the silicon roadmap actually looked like. TSMC’s leading-edge capacity was, in any given year, primarily an Apple capacity decision. The iPhone shipping date, the wafer pre-buys, the HBM allocation — Apple’s order book was the roadmap. That is no longer true. And TSMC’s own 2025 financials prove it. According to TSMC’s annual filings, NVIDIA generated NT$726.97 billion (US$23.4 billion) in revenue for TSMC in 2025 — 19% of TSMC’s total revenue, more than double the previous year’s 12%. Apple, the previous lead customer, generated NT$645.1 billion — 17% of TSMC’s revenue, down from 22% in 2024. The order inverted. Jensen Huang confirmed it on a January 2026 podcast. TSMC’s own annual report — which doesn’t name customers but identifies them as Customer A and Customer B — confirms it. Industry analysts, DigiTimes, Morgan Stanley, and Bloomberg all confirm it. This is not a market-share footnote. It is a structural inversion of a decade-old industry power dynamic. The pace-setter for leading-edge silicon is no longer the company that put the chip in your pocket. It is the company that puts the chip in the data center. Speaking up about what you're feeling isn't weakness - it's the strongest play you can make."J&J has developed two therapies aimed at the estimated two-thirds of MDD patients who continue to experience symptoms despite treatment with conventional antidepressants, Caplyta (lumateperone) and Spravato (esketamine), which are both approved as add-ons to standard therapy. The drugmaker also has another candidate in the pipeline with orexin-2 receptor antagonist seltorexant, which has shown efficacy in a phase 3 trial for insomnia associated with depression, a symptom that currently has no FDA-approved treatments and affects around 60% of patients. Check out its review below. Lukkhe, the title itself gives us a clue what the series focuses on. However, while Lukhke means a jobless person or someone with no direction in life, the web series takes it in a different direction, but it’s not so different that it feels new. The series aims to show a world of drugs, rap music, and crime that doesn’t feel out-of-the-box, but it still works in parts, with strong performances. Won’t tell much about the storyline, but the series is somewhat like Udta Punjab, shedding light on the rap music world in Punjab. It follows the story of two aspiring musicians who are caught up in an illegal supply of drugs in Punjab. However, this isn’t a story to tell that drugs are wrong, but shows what one can do for their dreams, be it committing crimes. The intense action and drama blend the darkness with the sparkling lights of rap music. Though the series seems familiar at times, the narration, compelling scenes, and a view into the world of rap music make it engaging in parts, while there were moments that felt flat, with the storyline leading to no clear end. In his debut, singer-songwriter Arpan Kumar Chandel, known as King, takes center stage with his on-screen presence as MC Badnaam. His character is layered, and the singer delivers his part with conviction. Palak Tiwari adds emotional depth with her character of a recovering drug addict. She is placed well and helps the story. While Raashi Khanna looks fierce, undoubtedly, she is ruling with her magical performance. Director Himank Gaur, with conviction and fine detail, shows the world of rap music, drugs, drama, and crime in Punjab. Produced by Vipul D. Shah and Rajesh Bahl under the banners Optimystix Entertainment and White Guerrilla LLP, the crime drama engages viewers, but at times it feels repetitive. However, the strong performances work in favor. Special mention to the music composed by King, OAFF, Savera, and Sunny M.R. All the tracks elevate the experience, saving the experience of the web series, shining in parts. IWMBuzz rates Lukhhe 3 out of 5 stars!
amzn
-4848341714906422917
Tesla Issues Recall for 173 Cybertruck Vehicles Due to Brake Component Defect (TSLA)
https://www.gurufocus.com/news/8847319/tesla-issues-recall-for-173-cybertruck-vehicles-due-to-brake-component-defect-tsla
["tsla
Related Stocks: TSLA,
tsla
7951173275581746424
Apple Invests In Clean Energy And Green Startups Across India
https://www.macobserver.com/news/apple-invests-in-clean-energy-and-green-startups-across-india/?utm_source=macobserver&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=rss_everything
["aapl
Apple is putting more money into its environmental goals in India. The technology maker just announced a plan to fund renewable power projects, tackle plastic waste, and help small green businesses grow. As the company expands its factory operations across the country, it wants to keep its footprint clean. This new funding aims to bring clean electricity to local homes while backing fresh solutions for a healthier planet. Anyone tracking recent news about Apple knows it has a strict deadline to become fully carbon-neutral by 2030. Apple puts 100 crore into new renewable energy projects The main focus of this new investment is a partnership with CleanMax. CleanMax is a local renewable energy developer. Apple is giving it an initial Rs 100 crore, which equals around 10.6 million dollars, to help scale up clean energy adoption. This money will help create more than 150 megawatts of new renewable energy capacity across the region. According to the data, this amount of energy is enough to power roughly 150,000 Indian households every year. This is not the first time the hardware maker has worked with CleanMax. The developer previously helped the company build rooftop solar projects to power its offices and retail stores with pure renewable energy. Now, this larger investment allows CleanMax to expand the clean energy grid for the broader community. Grants support green startups and local waste management systems Beyond just power generation, Apple is teaming up with Acumen to guide and fund small businesses. Acumen will use the backing to provide grants and mentorship to six early-stage startups. Each startup focuses on areas such as waste management, regenerative farming, or the creation of sustainable livelihoods. At the same time, Apple is expanding its ongoing work with WWF-India to protect local ecosystems from plastic pollution. The goal is to collect and recycle materials before the waste can harm the environment. Notably, the new initiative has arrived after Apple joined brands to oppose strict clean energy reporting rules. WWF-India already runs a successful program in Goa alongside Saahas Zero Waste, a local waste management firm. Thanks to this new support, the conservation group will expand its sorting and recycling model to other cities, starting with Coimbatore. The disruption came during a turbulent stretch for Coinbase after the company reported weaker-than-expected quarterly results and announced plans to cut roughly 14% of its workforce as it pushes to become "lean, fast, and AI-native." This Is ‘Never Acceptable’ For hours, traders across crypto markets speculated about the cause of the outage as users reported problems accessing accounts, executing trades and moving funds. Armstrong addressed the incident in a post on X on Friday. "We experienced an outage at Coinbase last night, which is never acceptable," he wrote. According to Armstrong, the disruption began after multiple chillers failed inside an AWS facility, causing a room to overheat and impacting Coinbase systems. While many Coinbase services were designed to handle failures within a single AWS Availability Zone, Armstrong said the company's centralized exchange architecture was more exposed because of the way trading platforms are optimized. "Exchanges have unique architectures that optimize ...Full story available on Benzinga.com
amzn
-4904040486664818738
Want to quickly use an old MacBook with no SSD for one brief task (renaming trackpad)- using a memory stick?
["aapl
short version: **I want to add my trackpad to my Apple devices to change the name.
